David M. Addison: An Innocent Abroad

Do you know what it feels like to live in another country where the natives speak the same language as you do, but culturally you are poles apart? Schoolteacher David M. Addison, his wife Iona and children Helene and George, temporarily leave their comfortable life in Central Scotland to travel to beautiful Missoula, Montana. There, David will be taking up a teacher exchange position for a year. David chronicles his first few months in Montana in his award-winning book An Innocent Abroad, where we read about his often-humorous exploits and observations as he and his family settle into life in the USA of the 1970s.
